  10. They used fading in and out, or hard cutting the scenes. They also used quotes from the hobbit itself, and music that supported the theme the trailer was trying to establish, which was a feeling of suspense. They didn't use vocal narration, rather they used text narration where it faded or hardcut into each one of them.
