How did they film the crowds?
How did they do the special effects of stop motion on stage?

  1. With a camera man on stage is my guess, and a camera on a line above the crowd.

They used the lights and the music to go along with the video adding freeze frames in for half a second making it look like its stooping.

  6. They filmed the crowds using a camera man on the stage. Then they used a camera above them, either with a line, or on a mechanical life. They used the color lighting and flashes to indicate the climax of the song.

  9. They filmed with multiple cameras, some inside the crowd, others behind him, and some closer to his front. The special effects of stop motion I saw was the lights on stage behind him.

  11. They probably either just filmed a crowd from another concert or they filmed the crowd from behind or used a special camera or they had a drone. They used a bright light, stopped the camera and then they switched to a new video and scene.
